Top choice pub in The South Bank

This 16th-century pub is named after the vessel that took the pilgrims to America in 1620. The ship set sail from Rotherhithe, and Captain Christopher Jones supposedly charted its course here while supping schooners. The pub oozes character and history, from the candles to the wood-panelling and dark interior. There’s seating on a small back terrace overlooking the Thames.
