Everything from its 'scientific' branding (the numbers refer to the type of beer – porter, pale ale etc – and recipe) to its enthusiasm for exploring new beer styles and refashioning old ones (saison for instance, an old Belgian beer drunk by farm workers) is about broadening the definition of beer.
