A famed Georgian clockmaker used to inhabit this building, which has been given new life as a classy, candlelit restaurant-bar serving Modern British dishes such as pea-and-ham soup with quails egg, Yorkshire Dales lamb, and North Sea hake with foraged garlic. The lunch menu is a simpler affair, or come for a filter coffee and cake, or refreshing glass off dandelion and burdock.
