Bristol International Airport Bristol's airport is 8 miles southwest of the city. Bus

Bristol's bus station is 500m north of the city centre. From there buses shuttle into central areas and fan out around the city. There's a taxi rank nearby.

Car & Motorcycle

Bristol is within easy reach of the motorway network. Exit the M4 at junction 19 (signposted 'Bristol') and the M5 at junction 18 (initially signposted 'Bristol Airport').

Route Information

London is 120 miles away (2½ hours) by car, Heathrow Airport is a 100 mile drive (two hours).

Bath is 14 miles away (one hour), Cardiff is a 40 mile drive (one hour). Exeter is 90 miles away down the M5 (1½ hours).

Parking & Congestion

Like many cities, Bristol is fairly congested and parking can be tricky and expensive. Visiting without a car is a good idea.

Train

Bristol's main train station, Bristol Temple Meads is just over a mile east of the city centre.

The city is an important rail hub, with regular services to London Paddington provided by GWR (www.gwr.com) and services to northern England and Scotland mainly covered by CrossCountry (www.crosscountrytrains.co.uk). Book ahead for the best deals.
