Arriving in Destination

Monseñor Óscar Arnulfo Romero International Airport (San Salvador) Shuttles operated by Taxis Acacya leave the airport at 7am, 8am, noon, 1pm, 5pm and 6pm (US$5 per person; 45 minutes). Buses run to the city center every 60 minutes, but it can be stressful finding the location, especially with luggage. Taxis cost about US$30 to US$35 (45 minutes) and are plentiful, but negotiate beforehand. Hotels arrange pick-ups.

Tica Bus Terminal (San Salvador) The most popular long-distance buses arrive in safe and fashionable Zona Rosa. From here, taxis can take you anywhere in the capital for US$10 or so.
