The hot desert sands seem an unlikely place to take a bath, but Berbers and Egyptians have long used this as a natural cure for many ailments, including rheumatism, joint pain, infertility or impotence. At the hottest time of the day in summer, you are buried neck-deep in the sand. This place has a good reputation.
You are buried for about 10 and 15 minutes – more is unbearable – and after excavation you are wrapped in blankets in the sauna tent, and given herbal teas. Many people swear by it as an annual treatment for rejuvenation.
