Dahab is fairly quiet at night. There are a couple of proper bars, but after a long day of diving or desert exploration, most travellers are content with sprawling out in one of Dahab's waterfront cafe-restaurants, smoking shisha with a few drinks.
Waterfront Restaurants BYO
A hike in restaurant alcohol-licence fees has meant that many of the waterfront restaurants no longer serve alcohol. Don't fret about not being able to have a sunset beer though – many now allow you to bring your own alcohol in, to drink with your meal or have with your shisha. Just check with the staff before sitting down and ordering. A number of new beer shops have conveniently opened up in the waterfront area to supply you with all your BYO needs.
