The African House offers an affordable way to stay in one of the city’s most gorgeous mid-19th-century buildings. Rooms on the 4th floor have dimmer halls, but big balconies. The shared kitchen is a bit grotty, and the toilets occasionally run, but the staff are very nice.
Occupying a 19th-century building with high ceilings and original wooden floors, African House Hostel has plenty of period character.
At the African House Hostel you can choose from its 16 spacious, private double and triple rooms – some with en suite and some with shared bathroom facilities.
