Wadi Al Hittan Fossil & Climate Change Museum

Al Fayoum

The displays of fossils and information boards within this circular one-room museum do an excellent job of explaining the geological history, nature, and the role of climate change on this area. The displays all surround the museum's crowning exhibit, an 18-metre long skeleton of a Basilosaurus Isis whale.

There's also a short documentary you can watch on Wadi Al Hittan.
