Day 1: Alexandria - Cairo Begin with morning pickup from your Alexandria hotel, cruise port, or airport, and travel south to Cairo by private, air-conditioned car, minivan, or bus (depending on size of your group). After a roughly 3-hour drive, arrive in Cairo and visit the Giza Plateau, home to the UNESCO-listed pyramids. With your Egyptologist guide, view the pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus as you hear fascinating facts and secrets about the 4,500-year-old pharaonic tombs, the last remaining of the Ancient Wonders of the World.
