Day 1 Arrive in one of the most vibrant cities in the world – London, where you will make your own arrangements to head on over to the hotel which has been carefully selected by us. Enjoy the rest of the evening at your leisure.Day 2 Free day in London.Day 3 Departing from London, sit back and enjoy the journey as we head north to the university town of Cambridge. Enjoy a walking tour here. After some time spent in Cambridge, we continue north to reach historic York where you will enjoy a guided walking tour.Day 4 Iconic Hadrian's Wall is next. Said to have been built by the Romans this wall is a significant part of Great Britain's history. We continue our journey through to Scotland's largest city Glasgow.Day 5 We set off for Scotland's elegant capital, Edinburgh. On our city tour, experience the stately Royal Mile, past St Giles' Cathedral to Holyrood house Palace - the Queen's residence in Edinburgh - and onto the 18th century New Town. Afternoon free time in Edinburgh for you to go off and wander; visit Edinburgh Castle, housing the Honours of Scotland, the nation's crown jewels.Day 6 Famed for being the international home of golf, St. Andrews is one of Britain's finest towns. After St. Andrews, we head to Inverness by crossing the Firth of Tay and travel through Highland Perthshire with its thick pined-clad slopes.Day 7 We journey deep into the Highlands of Scotland and take our chance with a legend known as the mythical Loch Ness Monster. Spellbound we head to Fort Augustus and through the Great Glen to admire unforgettable views towards Glencoe. Passing through Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park back to Glasgow. Day 8 We travel via Gretna Green, where many an eloping couple have been married, then exploring in Windermere, a region so beautiful it inspired a host of romantic English poets. We continue the tour to the lively city of Liverpool, home of the Beatles and countless other inspiring icons! Day 9 We will stop at the former Roman fortress town of Chester. Our walking tour will take you along part of the well-preserved city walls. See the Eastgate Clock, Cathedral, the unique black and white 'Rows' (shopping arcades) and the remains of the Roman Amphitheater. Then we head to the pretty market town of Stratford-upon-Avon where you visit the birthplace of William Shakespeare. Day 10 We head to the Georgian city of Bath. On the walking tour learn about its Roman history, the city's rebirth in Georgian times. In the afternoon, we set off for our final stop of the tour the legendary and mythical Stonehenge site. Explore the mythical standing stones, the Neolithic Houses, and the fascinating exhibition. Finally, we return to London where this tour ends.
