After seven nights cruising the Galápagos Islands aboard the Yolita, you won’t want to leave. Travelling between the central, southern and eastern islands, expect days full of activities you really can’t experience anywhere else. Share the beautiful white-sand beaches with sea lions, iguanas, and 100-year-old tortoises, hike Punta Pitt and try to find all three distinct species of booby, then take a trip to the Devil's Crown, a snorkeller’s paradise. Before you leave, make sure to make a stop at Post Office Bay to drop off a post card, or maybe even bring one home with you.

Itinerary

Day 1 Quito There are no planned activities, so check into the hotel and enjoy the city. A G Adventures representative will greet you at the hotel and brief the group on the various aspects of the tour. Day 2 Mariscal Sucre International Airport/Seymour Airport (1B, 1L, 1D) Take an early flight to the Galápagos Islands. In the afternoon, visit North Seymour Island to look out for blue-footed boobies. Included Activities: North Seymour Island Visit Transport: Flights from Quito to Baltra depart between 6:40am and 9:40am depending on the day of the week. These will arrive into the Galápagos between 9:30am and 12:30pm with a short refuelling stop in Guayaquil (you will not disembark the plane). Day 3 Cerro Brujo/Kicker Rock (1B, 1L, 1D) Morning landing at Cerro Brujo on San Cristóbal to observe sea lions, marine iguanas, and seabirds along the beach. Continue to the dramatic Kicker Rock in the afternoon to witness the steep vertical stone walls rising from the ocean and some of the best snorkelling in the Galápagos. Day 4 Bahía Gardner/Punta Suárez (1B, 1L, 1D) Punta Suarez on the western side of Española Island (also called Hood) is spectacular. Follow the trail through a rookery and learn the geological history of the island from the naturalist, including its dramatic volcanic features, climate, flora, and fauna. Day 5 Santa Fé Island/South Plaza (1B, 1L, 1D) Visit Santa Fe island for a chance to mingle with the iguanas. Continue to South Plaza for some great bird watching opportunities. Included Activities: South Plaza Island Visit Santa Fe Island Visit Transport: Yolita
Day 6 Santa Cruz Island (1B, 1L, 1D) In the morning, arrive in Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island. Santa Cruz is the second biggest island in the Galápagos, and has the largest population. Puerto Ayora is its main town. In the afternoon, there may be the opportunity to visit the highlands and see giant land tortoises in the wild. Day 7 Punta Cormorant/Floreana Island (1B, 1L, 1D) This morning, snorkel at Devil's Crown, a coral reef surrounded by an eroded volcanic crater, the perfect home for marine life. Look out for small sharks, rays and schools of tropical fish. In the afternoon, make sure you have a postcard to leave behind on a visit to Post Office Bay. Day 8 Chinese Hat/Cerro Dragón (1B, 1L, 1D) Visit the white sand beach at Chinese Hat in the morning, before an afternoon at Cerro Dragón for an opportunity to break out the binoculars and do some excellent birdwatching. Included Activities: Cerro Dragón Visit Chinese Hat Visit Transport: Yolita
Day 9 Black Turtle Cove/Quito (1B) Explore the mangrove lagoon at Black Turtle Cove. In the afternoon, transfer for a flight back to Quito for one last night on the town. Included Activities: Black Turtle Cove Excursion
