Your tour guide will pick you up at 09h30 from the hotel, due to the splendid view from viewpoint of Cruz Loma (4.100 m.a.s.l.) on the volcano Pichincha. To go up there we will take a cable car ride that takes from 15 to 20 minutes per way, depending of the atmospheric conditions. We start at a height of 3.045 meters above sea level, until 4.100 meters at the top (around 12.500 feet). We will enjoy a beautiful view of Quito, and if the weather helps, the amazing snowcapped volcanoes as Cotopaxi (5.898), Antisana (5.753) and Cayambe (5.790).
In the afternoon we will vist the historical center of Quito, the first world cultural heritage site (UNESCO 1978). Before we start the walk, we can stop for a drink or a small lunch if it is necessary, your tour guide can give you different options to do that.
During our walk, we will pass through the Independence Square, scenery of many dramatic battles of revolution in the history of the Republic of Ecuador. And we will have the chance to visit the Presidential Palace, the Cathedral, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Church of the Secret Society of Jesus of Quito, summit of the Latin American Baroque style, the charming neighborhood of La Ronda, and the Church and Convent of San Francisco, built in 1540. We will finish this fantastic and unforgettable excursion at 15h00.
