Sleeping

Fortunately, Puyo has some lovely places to lay your head, whatever your budget.

Eating

Try the riverside cafes for a typical dish of ceviche boquetero, which is literally ‘dumptruck ceviche’ – a combination of toasted corn kernels and plantain chips with a can of tuna elegantly dumped on top.

Luckily, there are a couple of surprising standout restaurants in town where dumptruck ceviche is not your only option.

Drinking & Nightlife

Puyo shuts down on the early side. The standout bar is probably EscoBar, where an evening drink is always a pleasure.
