Today's newspaper carries a report that YF vaccination certificates will be checked for foreign travellers at border crossings
http://www.paginasiete.bo/sociedad/2017/2/13/salud-caso-fiebre-amarilla-origino-zona-selvatica-127139.html
This follows a case in the lowland area of northern La Paz. Spanish speakers may be struck, as I was, by the emphasis on a foreign traveller being affected and there being no local cases.
It might be prudent to assume that Bolivian border officials will be more…

Hello all,
Since I've been in Colombia I've been extremely itchy, like all over the body (scalp to legs) feeling like bugs are crawling all over me but this has been at alllll times of day
I thought maybe it was sweat or allergies as I've had no bites until now and haven't seen anything actually crawl.

Now I'm scared its bed bugs...
I have three bites so far, one on my knee and two on the back of my thigh. They are not in a straight line but if you were to draw a long slanted line then you could…

I've never been to either place, but I hear Bangkok is awesome for solo backpacking/exploring. I haven't heard too much about going to Machu Picchu solo (looks like the four day Inca Trail hike is already booked up). Which would be more suitable for a solo trip? Are there other places to consider?

Greetings,

We will be in Ecuador the last 2 weeks of August of this year and will be spending several days in Quito and Cuenca. Does anybody know whether there will be opportunities to see any professional soccer matches within the Ecuadorian pro leagues? I was able to find some team and stadium websites, but no updated game schedules or info on matches/tickets. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks.

John

Hi,

Are there any 2-3 day treks around Tayrona excluding the Lost City as I've done before.

Ideally stay over night or if there are different one day options?

Thanks

¡Hola!

I’m currently planning a 4-month trip to South America with my wife later this year, and would greatly appreciate some advice from the Thorntree hive mind on the Argentina/Uruguay/Chile section of our itinerary. I’ve been researching the trip extensively over the last few months, including on these forums, but it seems like every time I think I’ve worked out a plan I’m suddenly seized by an urge to rip it all up and start again… South America is a big place!

We’re spending the first 3…
