Overlooking the forest, Samaí Lodge feels like an idyllic oasis. Twelve cabins are scattered throughout the property; many with floor-to-ceiling windows and hammocks from which to enjoy views all the way to the coast – with a chance to spot both whales and monkeys in the same place. There’s also a Jacuzzi, yoga classes, a spa, pool and tasty food.
A taxi to/from Olón (7km) costs around $7. The lodge is reached via 2km of dirt road – don't get dropped off at the main road, as it's a long (and sometimes muddy) hike up the hill, especially with luggage.
