Baños de Agua Santa is a city located at 1.820 meters, on the northeastern flanks of the Tungurahua volcano (5.000 m.a.s.l.), with a population of 12.995 inhabitants. It is an important touristic center of Ecuador, located at 176 km south from Quito, and it is a natural entrance to the Ecuadorian Amazon basins. For this full day trip, your guide will pick you up at 05h30 from your hotel. On the way you could admire beautiful volcanoes like: Antisana, Los Ilinizas, Cotopaxi and the Mother Tungurahua, while you have your breakfast. Once in the city, we will start the adventure that is waiting for us!! We will take a local transport at 09h00 to go to Pastaza River (level III+), located between the Sangay and Llanganates National Parks, which is one of the main streams that feed the Amazon River. The white water river rafting tour will let us see the enormous changes of vegetation, from the pre-mountain subtropical rainforest until the Amazon tropical rainforest!! We will stop at a height of 1.050 meters above sea level. After this unforgettable experience we will have a delicious lunch, and we will be ready to explore the avenue of the waterfalls. We begin with a downhill hike to “Pailón del Diablo” waterfall, we will cross the Pastaza river canyon using a cable car that rides through a 500 meters long cable, to visit “Manto de la Novia” waterfall, and finally we will enjoy a spectacular view of the Agoyan waterfall. We will be back in your hotel approximately at 19h00.
