Our Spanish for Travelers program offers a one-day Spanish course that combines 4 hours of Spanish classes with an afternoon tour of the historic center of Quito. Ideal for the newly-arrived visitor to Ecuador who wants to get enough Spanish to be able to get around and communicate the basics such as ordering in a restaurant, getting on public transport, taking taxis, arriving at hotels, etc.
This one-day program in Quito is intended for newly-arrived visitors who speak no Spanish. The program starts at 9.00 am with 4 hours of Spanish classes at our school in the historic center. There is a 20-minute break at 11.00 am to relax, chat with other students and enjoy free coffee and tea. Younger children will have a different class with their own teacher focused on learning some basic Spanish through activities and games suitable for them. Lunch is available in any of many restaurants that surround the school for $2.50 and upwards. After lunch students will go on a tour of the historic center with their teacher and will have the opportunity to practice some of what they have learned. The aim of the day is to give visitors a basic understanding of Spanish to be able to get around with greater confidence than if they had no Spanish at all.
