It is the second highest volcano in Ecuador with a height of 5897 meters. It is located in the eastern mountain range of the Andes. It is surrounded by other mountains such as Sincholagua, Pasochoa, Rumiñahui, all within the avenue of volcanoes. Explanation of Cotopaxi Volcano in the Mariscal Sucre interpretation center. Arrival at 4500 meters above sea level, where is the parking lot, after arrival at the Refuge, we continue with the walk to the glacial. Descent to the lagoon of Limpiapungo. Lunch in the local restaurant. Return to Quito.
