There is a wide variety of activities at the park, including mountain biking, bush walks, and wildlife drives. All activities can be booked at Ndlovu Camp.
Mountain biking is a fun and ecofriendly way to commune with Hlane's bushveld. Guided mountain-bike outings led by expert rangers cost E280 and last two hours (minimum two people). Tours start from Ndlovu Camp at sunrise.
Hlane offers guided walking trails and birding trips (per person E225, minimum two people), which afford the opportunity to see elephants and rhinos. Serious walkers or bush fanatics can book the one- or two-night fully catered Ehlatsini Bush Trails (full board from one/two days E1445/2455, April to September only and minimum two people), which take in some lesser-known areas of the park. Book ahead for the overnight trails.
Hlane's major attraction are its large mammals and predators, and the easiest way to spot them is on a wildlife drive in an open vehicle. The 2½-hour sunrise and sunset drives (per person E370), only for those overnighting at Ndlovu Camp, are best for wildlife and photography; they include the lion enclosure, where you have good chances to see the big cats. A dedicated white-rhino drive (1½ hours, E260) will allow you to leave the vehicle and get up close to these endangered giants.
