This flat 0.7-mile loop trail leads to a swimming hole fed by a 40ft waterfall and hemmed in by sumptuous foliage that gives it its distinctive green tinge. It's deep enough for a dip but the water can be on the cool side.

The path winds through dense rainforest and past two viewpoints, one looking out over the rainforest canopy to Morne Laurent and another treating you to panoramic views of the Atlantic coast. It's generally a serene place, except on cruise-ship days when one packed minivan after the other pulls up to the parking lot. Show up past 3pm and you'll have the place more or less to yourself. The well-marked turnoff to Emerald Pool is on the cross-island road linking Canefield and Castle Bruce. There's a visitor center with toilets and a snack bar.
