If you have your own transport, walking the meadows, forests and coastline of the narrow 18km-long Knudshoved Odde peninsula is given added interest by the numerous Bronze Age stones that litter the area. The main starting point is Knudskov, a parking area halfway down the peninsula, around 12km west of Vordingborg.
Within the parking area itself there's a long barrow and tunnel-grave that you can crawl inside. Wander further to explore flora including blackthorn, honeysuckle and wild roses, though do bring insect repellent in spring/summer.
Don't be surprised if you spy bison, brought here from America by the Rosenfeldt family, which owns Knudshoved Odde including various rental properties.
