At Skovsgaard's entrance, this deli-cafe brims with fresh, organic local produce, some of it grown on the estate. Lunch plates include your choice of main dish with three salads and bread. Drinks include several local beers and juices. Or go straight for coffee and cake. The best seats are on the rear stilted terrace above the castle's thick pea-green moat.
On Thursday nights there are simple, low-cost buffet dinners from 5.30pm. The cafe now has a branch in Rudkøbing too.
