Danish in Nykøbing F

Vinkælderen produces some of the most admired cuisine in Denmark's south islands, offering a very short, monthly changing menu, described and photographed on its Facebook page. Expect foraged Nordic elements and locally sourced produce but cooking styles rooted in classic French gastronomy.

Set five steps below road level, the setting is a whitewashed 1845 cellar that's decorated relatively simply with show kitchen and changing (sometimes garish) art. If you want to take on the six-course taster meal, you'll need to book ahead and start eating by 7pm.
