Central Caféen

Danish in Nyborg

Wallowing in over 160 years of history, Central Caféen is the archetype of a lovably old-fashioned cafe. A covered courtyard supplements its slightly chintzy dining rooms, where fresh posies of hedgerow flowers sit on gingham tabletops.

The good-value lunch menu (served till 4pm) includes plaice fillet, chicken-and-asparagus tartlets and particularly impressive fried veal with slow-cooked onions and field mushrooms. It's on the central pedestrianised shopping street.
