If you're strolling the old centre, the main concentrations of historic buildings are around the large Sct Peders Kirke (containing impressive carved grave slabs) plus along the short stretch of Riddergade between Hotel Kirstine and the smaller Sct Mortens Kirke with its superb uncoloured 1667 wooden altarpiece. The local history museum occupies two well-preserved pre-Reformation brick buildings at different central locations.
