Mølleporten

Møn

In the 1430s, Stege was ringed to the east by a moat and city wall pierced by three gatehouses. Built in layered brick and stone, Mølleporten (Mill Gate) is the only one still standing, having been narrowly rescued from planned demolition in 1873.

It’s now one of the best-preserved town gates in Denmark. You can still see a section of dry moat beside it.
