Copenhagen's oldest konditori (pastry shop) has been compromising waistlines since 1870. Slip into its maze of time-warped rooms and succumb to a slice of the classic valnøddekage (walnut cake), a cheeky combo of crushed and caramelised walnuts, whipped cream and mocca glacé. If you're a marzipan lover, opt for the chocolate-covered Dachstein; its moist, flavourful centre is good enough to leave you purring.
