Chef Ida Davidsen is the fifth generation of her family bring smørrebrød to the masses; founded in 1888, the restaurant is considered something of a Copenhagen institution. This bustling lunch-only spot serves up to 250 types of piled-high topping combinations, including some named for famous Danes such as Victor Borge (smoked salmon, shrimp, crayfish and lumpfish roe).
