Kinshasa in detail

There are some good restaurants in Kinshasa, but prices are high and most locals cannot even dream of eating in them. If you want to break out of the foreigner bubble, it's perfectly possible to try the wares of street-side vendors working deep into the night, where food is cheap and tasty, though hygiene can be a worry. Downtown Kinshasa is flush with well-stocked supermarkets selling expensive imported goods.
