Welcome to Valtice-Lednice
The Unesco-protected historic landscape of Valtice-Lednice is a popular weekend destination for Czechs, who tour the historic architecture, including two world-class royal palaces, as well as hike and bike and sample the region’s wines. The two towns are about 10km apart, connected by regular buses and a scenic footpath. Neither Valtice nor Lednice offer much in terms of nightlife, so they're best visited as a day trip from either Mikulov or Brno. If you’ve got more time, either town makes a perfect base for exploring the rolling hills of the southern Moravian wine country: hundreds of kilometres of walking and cycling trails criss-cross a mostly unspoiled landscape.
