The original black light theatre performance Angología is a selection of the best scenes ever created by the company since its foundation at 1961. It is a 95 minute performance full of witty humour, dance, and black light theatre skill and wizardry accompanied by the original score composed by the founder of the theatre Jiri Srnec. Show times begin at 8pm at the theatre located in central Prague, and transportation is not included.

The audience was first able to see the company in the summer 1961 at the Edinburgh International Festival. The success there was unprecedented.Thus Jiří Srnec (1931) managed to create an entirely original non-verbal theatre genre that, since the day of its foundation, enjoys success not only in Czech Republic but all over the world.The company has already had more than 300 tours in 68 countries (e.g., China, Russia, USA [Las Vegas, New York], South America, Syria, Israel, Greece, Africa, Germany, Australia, France, Turkey, Thailand, Bolivia, Great Britain, Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, Monaco, South Korea, Norway, Sweden and many others), and attended 87 festivals.The company’s performances were seen by more than 5 million spectators and the theatre also won countless international awards. In 2002 it was chosen to represent Czech culture during the NATO summit in Prague. In 2011 was Jiří Srnec awarded the Medal of Merit in the field of culture and art and in 2014 he was awarded the European cultural award Trebbia for creative activity.The performance Antología is a selection of eight scenes from the work of Black Light Theatre Srnec since its foundation in 1961, e.g. The Flying Bicycle, What’s next?, White Pierot in Black, or The Week of Dreams.You will learn what your underwear is doing when you’re not looking. The company performed it at the sold-out square in Italian city Campobasso in front of 15,000 spectators, in Nicaragua and El Salvador the presidents visited the show, and in 2002 four of the scenes represented the Czech Republic during the NATO Summit in Prague.Shows are 95 minutes long, and will conclude at the theatre at approximately 9:30pm.
