In order to explore this region properly, you'll need your own wheels. There are also taxis in both Yenierenköy and Dipkarpaz.
The main road (Karpaz Yolu) through the peninsula is first-rate for most of the way with excellent signage. Once you're off the main road though, prepare for narrow, winding roads and a lack of clear road signs. Getting lost at some stage if you're looping through the peninsula is pretty much mandatory.
The last section of Karpaz Yolu (from Dipkarpaz to Apostolos Andreas Monastery) is narrow and riddled with potholes. It's also often roamed by the Karpas' wild donkeys. Take it slow here.
