Here’s a chance to travel deep inside the Troodos Mountains to see and experience some of Cyprus’ wildest landscape and most holy religious monument: Kykkos Monastery. This journey will last all day and bring you through vineyards, forests and traditional mountain villages. You will reach high elevations of nearly 2,000m! You will be picked up from Paphos and taken to the Troodos Mountains. You enjoyspectacular views over Troodos landscape and forests, visit beautiful villages, rives, pristine air, flora and fauna, vineyards, monasteries, churches and above all lots of fun and adventure! Don't miss the visit of the Gelefos Bridge, an amzing stone-built bridge built by the Venetians. There is a chance for an optional mini trek through the forest. You will then head to the world famous Kykkos Monastery (without guiding). Kykkos is the largest and most important monastery on the island, indeed one of the most prominent monasteries in the entire Eastern Orthodox world. Enjoy an extremely memorable lunch in a mountain village taverna featuring an array of freshly prepared local dishes including vegetarian options. Wine, water and lemonade are served complimentary. Continue through pine forest to Troodos’ most fantastic natural wonder, a 20m waterfall with ice-cold mountain water cascading down rock cliff. Next stop will be the picturesque wine village of Omodhos. Stroll around the cobbled streets or relax in one of the kafenions around the villages square. Alternatively, you may visit the Monastery of the Holy Cross.
