Getting There & Away
With Viñales at the helm as one of the nation's premier tourist attractions, Pinar del Río province is guaranteed reasonable transport links by Cuban standards. Víazul buses trundle through to the town at least twice a day from Havana, calling in at the provincial capital, Pinar del Río, along the way. Elsewhere, transport is less impressive, although there are transfer buses most days to María la Gorda and the two northern keys, Cayo Levisa and Cayo Jutías.
Trains run between Havana and Pinar del Río on alternate days, but hardly anyone uses them – for a reason.
