Las Ruinas

Caribbean in Outer Havana

One of Havana's more unusual restaurants, Las Ruinas sits atop the mossy stone ruins of a sugar mill, with classical statues, elegant staircases and a spectacular stained-glass screen by Cuban artist René Portocarrero adding dramatically to the visuals. Like most things in Parque Lenin, it's beloved by Cuban families, who cherish the low prices, traditional food and Alice in Wonderland decor.

The restaurant was refurbished in 2017 and is arguably the most interesting feature to grace the park.
