About 3km southeast of Novalja, Zrće Beach is staking its claim as the Ibiza of Croatia. Unlike in Ibiza, all of the clubs and bars are right on the beach – but in terms of scale, it's got a long way to go. Basically, there are three main clubs and a scattering of bars in between, all of which open in June and close by mid-September. Entrance prices very much depend on the event: nights are usually free at the beginning of the season but cost as much as €40 for big-name DJs in mid-August.
The beach itself is a picturesque 1km-long treeless crescent of pebbles overlooking a parched strip of eastern Pag, with the mountains of the mainland rearing up on the horizon – rent an umbrella for shade. Out of season you'll have this otherwise lonely place to yourself.
