It’s a delight to meander through the narrow old alleys of Rab and explore the harbour, upper town and parks. Rab’s principal sights are its historic churches and towers, which are clustered on the narrow lane of Gornja (Upper St), which runs parallel to Srednja (Central) and Donja (Lower) streets. Most of the churches are usually only open for morning and evening Mass, but even when they’re closed you can often peer through metal railings to view their interiors.

A long, pebbly beach stretches all around Rab Town, so take a towel and freshen up after sightseeing – just mind those sea urchins!
