The Cetina river offers leisurely rafting through the beautiful countryside, and is punctuated by grade 2 and 3 rapids, providing a perfect combination of relaxation and adventure. The full day "foodie experience" is not to be missed and not only involves rafting but also visiting a traditional Croatian family, living deep in the hills outside Split you will enjoy their food, olive oil, wines and all-round hospitality - all homemade and simply outstanding. A truly authentic, cultural and immersive experience and one not to me missed by young and old alike!
Start your tour with a stop in the seaside town of Omiš, after which you head into the mountains, where you will prepare for your rafting experience. The rafting experience takes about 3 –4 hours, after which you will take you to a mountain village. There will be an opportunity to enjoy an inexpensive lunch at a local family restaurant. This warm and welcoming family will also give you the opportunity to experience life in rural Croatia. They produce most of their own food, cure their own meats and make their own wines and spirits, a practice which is typical for many rural Croatian families. You will be able to sample all these, as well as find out a little more about their lifestyle, which provides a fascinating insight to those of us who are more accustomed to supermarket shopping for our food. This is how your day will look: Morning start 09:30 from our officeTravel to Cetina river in an air-conditioned bus with Wi-FiRafting experience for approximately 3-4 hoursDepart for lunch at family owned konobaVisit Omiš to see Mirabela fortressReturn to Split at around 4:00pmYour experience will be led by expert guides with excellent English using comfortable vehicles with wifi and air-conditioning.You can expect three to four hours of rafting on the beautiful Cetina river with an instructor who is passionate about his sport, and the opportunity to spend time with a local family and learn how they prepare all their own meats, wine, spirits and olive oil.
