Each city nowadays has got its classic tour, acquainting the guests with its outstanding architectural sights, buzzing markets, history, museums and monuments. Let’s have a history lesson!We’ll visit the biggest church in Zagreb, a traditional market, the only surviving mediaeval gate – the Stone Gate, we’ll study the insignia on St Mark’s Church and then descend the south slopes of the Upper Town and go from the Lotrščak tower to the main square, the most popular meeting place of the locals. Let’s have a lively history lesson!
This is a walking Tour. Takes about 1,5 hour to easily cover the whole historical centre of the City. Upon meeting in front of the Cathedral of Zagreb we shall explore the church where the story of Zagreb began. After that we proceed to the most alive place of the City, the Dolac market. From there the Tour takes us through Tkalčičeva Street up to the Upper Town; Stone Gate, St. Marks Square, Government and Parliament Building and then we shall enjoy the views beneath the Lotrščak Tower and slowly descend back to the Lower Town and finishing the Tour in the Main Square.
