Tour description provided by Viator

Risnjak is, unfortunately, the least visited national park in Croatia. That is mostly due to its location without proper traffic connection with bigger cities. Mountains far away from civilization, located between the sea and the continent. It is a location of great biodiversity, with dense forests which are a home to lynx, wolf and bear. Winters are long, cold and snowy, summers are short and never too hot. Views are amazing all the way up and if you are lucky and the weather is perfect, you just might see the Alps. We will hike for about 1.30h up to the mountain hut and then you can choose to visit a summit or just chill by the hut. There is possibility to buy lunch and drink in the hut or to take it with you. In the afternoon, after lunch and break, we will walk back to van and drive to pick up point.
9.00 a.m. Pick up on the island of Krk or at Gornje Jelenje at 9.30 a.m. 10.00 a.m. Start of hike at the foot of the mountain End time – Depending on the group Tour will take you to peak area of the Risnjak mountain and national park, you will have chance to climb the summit or just chill under beneath of it.
