My wife and I never had much of a honeymoon due to our little boy being so young, a nice but brief one night stay in an Oxford B&B. That stay resulted in our second child which kind of means we haven't had a holiday together for quite some time!
We're catching the ferry from bari in the last week of july and we have a whole 7 days to burn!! we didn't want to be too rushed so we were thinking of 2-3 nights in Dubrovnik and 4-5 days in an island resort. Of course this will be peak/peak season so…

Suggested Dubrovnik as good deals from Ireland but wondering if more of a city break and suitable for travelling with infant.
Looking for opinions and suggestions of places to stay possibly with a pool.
All suggestions welcome.

I'm thinking of travelling to Croatia in September for 10-14 days. I'm wondering what the cheapest way to reach Croatia from Canada is? I'll be flying out of Calgary. I definitely don't mind making connections/spending a little bit more time at the airport if I can save more than $100, so even if the route is a bit out of the way I'd love to hear about it. Any advice is appreciated!
I want to make a day-trip from Zagreb to Plitvice National Park by bus on 22 June. Are there any tour agencies at Entrance 1 or Entrance 2, from where I can hire knowledgeable guide to help me hike & experience park the best way?
We will be celebrating my hubby's 50th birthday in Croatia in July (just the 2 of us) and I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out the day and rest of the week.
Due to kids camp schedules and flights we are arriving into Dubrovnik on a Tuesday (on an overnight flight) while my hubby's big bday is the next day on a Wed. We just had to shuffle some things around leaving us with having to reconfigure now.
Here are options and challenges we're considering for his birthday Wednesday:
Hi everyone. My husband and I will be in Croatia and Slovenia June 1-June 16 and are traveling from Zagreb to Ljubljana (to pick up a car to explore Slovenia) on June 12. We intended to take a train from Zagreb to Ljubljana based on things we'd read, but we're now finding that, at least on the Rail Europe site, train tix are around 60-70eur each (and that the fee to drop off a car from Zagreb in Ljubljana may only be around $120us). Are the train tickets cheaper if you buy them the day-of at…
Having exhausted all car hire companies (I only have a debit card) I'm looking to hire a car from someone local who needs some spare cash.
Has anyone ever done this, is there a website (I've had a look but no joy) maybe I'm searching the wrong words, I don't know. There is a UK based site but it's only applicable to London.
We (me+4 kiddywinkles) are currently in Umag and our car hire plans fell through because of the credit card issue so we are proper stuck, and we are not the veg on a beach…
Hi intrepid travellers ..... has anyone got any words of wisdom for the beautiful islands of Hvar - Brac & Vis?
Spending 8 nights in Croatia, current thinking - arrive in Split head straight out to an island for 4 nights, Split for 2 nights - bus or ferry to Dubrovnik for 2 nights ......
Looking for some lovely beaches, snorkelling, fishing, maybe hire a tinny for the day (if that's possible) and some good food!
I have found some beautiful accommodation on all 3 islands and would love to hear…
