With its vineyards, olive groves and summer residences the island has a vibrant and yet laid-back feel. You’ll have 45 minutes to explore Šipan. And finally Lopud, a firm favourite with people from Dubrovnik as a weekend getaway, and you’ll have a healthy two and a half hours to explore. This island, apart from its wonderful gardens and ancient villas, has probably the best beach in the region, ask for Šunj.
