Hi Everyone

I'm trying to finalize the trip schedule for my honeymoon this June in Croatia. Has anyone done the zipline in Cetina Canyon before? It sounds like a lot of fun. We're trying to decide between that or whitewater rafting. Any recommendations by chance? Thank you.

Our family is planning a road trip through Croatia early june. We don’t want to prebook the accommodations for flexibility, but we’ve never been to Croatia and from what we’ve been reading it can be very very difficult to find accommodations without prebooking.
We are well seasoned travelers and comfortable booking hours before we get to a place to sleep. We want to enjoy the freedom and flexibility hat a car can give us and the idea of having a set itinerary just to have a guaranteed room kind…

I will be visiting Croatia shortly where I will be hiring a car. I have not driven in Europe before and one of the things that concern me is where I am allowed to park in the towns I will be visiting. Are there parking meters in the streets, or ticket dispensing machines? If the instructions are not in English (as I am sure they won't be), how will I know how much to pay for parking? I will usually park outside the very popular tourist areas and then walk a few hundred meters to get to the old…

We are planning to spend about a month in Croatia and then a week in Paris. Flying from Brisbane, Australia, the quickest way is through Dubai into Zagreb, stay the night in Zagreb and pick up a car for the month. We are thinking of August in Croatia and the first week of September in Paris, first question is how is the weather. I realise there are different weather zones in Croatia, in the mountains, on the coast, etc. We are thinking of splitting 4 weeks into 4 locations of a week, say the…

A small group of us will be in Croatia/Montenegro for 2 weeks in the first half of July this year. We arrive in Zagreb, and stop off at Plitvice, Split, Kotor and Dubrovnik in that order, before we return to Zagreb. We're undecided on whether to keep the same car right through, or whether to take a bus on some of the longer routes, particularly while crossing borders. I am leaning towards having a car right through (less problems of transferring luggage and figuring out connections). The only…

Hi all, new member and glad to be here! I'll be in Dubrovnik in Sept and want to go on to Budapest, Vienna, and Prague. I would be leaving Dubrovnik on Sept.19th (or red-eye on the 18th IF necessary) but I can't seem to find any feasible train or bus routes/prices. Any suggestions/information would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone. Visiting Croatia In early May. Renting a car in Zagreb and returning in Dubrovnik. My question is pretty simple, I'd like to visit Mostar with the car, in between Split and Dubrovnik. Which road and border crossings are the best to take for scenery and short border times? Or does it not really matter? Then i'll drop the car at Dubrovnik airport and continue on to Montenegro. I've heard the border there can be hours long. So curious if it's worth the detour and day trip to…

Hi,

My wife and I are hoping to visit Croatia this year with our infant. He'll be 10 months in August. 11 months in September.

I think that we have two options for our trip. The first two weeks in September or around August 13-28. I think that our work schedules would have a slight preference for the August dates. But I know that we'd prefer to avoid the largest crowds and the hottest weather. So I was curious if there would be that much of a difference in these two timetables.

Thanks! We…

I just booked a last minute trip to Venice for May but I would love to visit Croatia since I will be so close. I was thinking of taking a ferry over for a few days... any ideas? I don't know anything about Croatia, are there sights or places worth seeing near the port? If I only have 4-5 days where in Croatia should I visit? I will have my 14 month old son with me.

I will be traveling to Venice, Greece and then Croatia. Is there a SIM card that I can buy in Venice that I can use when I am in Croatia? I will need it for a 21 days and will need to make a few local calls or sms's to Airbnb hosts and use a small amount of data occasionally. I will be spending most of my time in Croatia. Thanks.
