Blue Lagoon is one of the prettiest locations in the middle part of the Adriatic for snorkeling and swimming. Here you can let your self be lazy and enjoy in tranquility in one of the most beautiful seas in the world. The next location that will leave you breathless is Pakleni islands or translated to english The Devil's island. Hvar Island and Blue Cave Tour from Split
After picking you up at Split old town promenade you will step aboard our speedboat for a thrilling 90 minute ride to Bisevo Island, whose highlight is the Blue Cave. In order to appreciate its ethereal beauty, we'll arrive exactly at the time of day when the sunlight reflected through the sea floor bathes the entire cave in aquamarine light, while objects in the water are turned into shimmering silver.Then we'll slice through the Adriatic to explore Komiza, a picture-perfect, authentic fisherman's village on the island of Vis. There will be plenty of time for sightseeing and to have lunch. After visiting Komiža we'll cruise around to the southern side of the island to stop briefly in the unique bay of Stiniva to enjoy a wonderful swim there! Afterwards we'll go to the Green Cave on Ravnik Island. When the sun is high, light enters the grotto though a large opening at the top of the cave which creates a dazzling array of silver and green colors. The cave is very spacious and the sea depth is 3 to 5 meters so our boat can get in easily. Our next destination is the town of Hvar, one of the most beautiful harbors in the world, and a rich cultural heritage as well. Its seven-century old walls still survive, as well as many 15th-17thC Venetian era noble houses and public buildings. The easy walk around the town to discover its many charms is a delight. After enjoying Hvar town and maybe having a drink at one of its famous cafes, it's time to to return to Split on our speedboat.
Small-Group Blue Cave and Hvar Day Trip from Split
Start your day trip with a pickup from your centrally located Split hotel. Alternatively, make your own way to the prearranged meeting point along Split’s charming waterfront promenade, known as the Riva.After joining up with your guide and small group limited to 12, hop aboard a gleaming speedboat for a thrilling ride across the waves to the Blue Cave on Biševo Island, a natural sea cave whose waters glow a magical vivid-blue.Marvel at the flickering light coming from below the water’s surface and hear from your guide what causes this beautiful phenomenon. Then, continue to Stiniva Cove on Vis Island. Enjoy around 30 minutes of free time to swim and relax on the beach.Next, take a dip in the emerald waters of Vis’ Green Cave, illuminated by the sun through an opening in its ceiling, before heading to Budikovac Island to relax on the pebble beach. You can also strap on one of the boat’s snorkeling masks to explore the thriving underwater world of its turquoise lagoon.After you’ve worked up an appetite, continue to the Pakleni Islands, a collection of 14 untouched islets. With 2.5 hours here to spend at your leisure, you have plenty of time to eat and explore.When the time comes, meet back up with your boat and skip across the waves to Hvar Island. With your tour host, set off on foot to discover the sights of Hvar Town. Climb the stairs to the ancient Fortica Fortress for breathtaking views of the town and Pakleni archipelago. Explore, too, the waterfront before entering the warren-like streets of the Old Town, where craft shops and quaint cafes can be found alongside ancient Venetian palaces.Your day trip then concludes with a drop-off back at the Riva in central Split.
Hvar Wine Tasting Tour
Once you are picked up from Hvar, travel to Jelsa or Vrboska where you'll visit one of the most famous Croatian winemakers. Situated in Jelsa, a small coastal town which has a very proud and long wine-making tradition. The Tomić family and ten other people from the island of Hvar work in the winery. They cultivate indigenous grapes, but experiment with new ones as also. They are constantly enhancing the production of red, white and rose varieties with modern technologies, but pay particular attention to Prošek, the original Dalmatian wine made from selected and dried grapes of the highest quality local varieties. In the wine cellar you will have the opportunity to taste 4 to 5 different wines together with a specific wine guide, who will describe the individual wines and provide all information needed with islands finest local appetizers.Residing in Vrboska, the Carić family have been involved with vineyards for as long as they remember, however it was not before Vino Hvar was established that they started producing their own wines, “Carič wines.” Their work in the vineyards is just as important to them as their work in the winery. They have 5-hectares of vineyards in a specially designated wine growing area known as “Vinogorje Hvar.” They also purchase a minimal amount of grapes from contract growers to compliment their crop. They also grow indigenous varieties, such as Plavac Mali, Bogdanjuša, Kuč, Maraština, Darnekuša and Pošip. Their wines have an individual story from the vineyard to the winery. You will have the opportunity to taste 4 - 5 different wines together with a specific wine guide, who will describe the individual wines and provide all information needed with islands finest local appetizers.Hvar wine tasting tour includes one of the above mentioned wineries.
Small Group Tour: Blue Cave and 5 Islands in One Day with Swimming and Snorkeling
Start your journey early in the morning in Split harbour where all of the passengers board on one of the speed boats. The transfer goes directly to the island Biševo where there is enough time to marvel at the worldwide famous Blue Cave and it's crystal clear waters. After one hour on this unique naturalistic site, then proceed to the nearby island of Vis to visit Stiniva Cove, a beautiful bay and one of the many famous beauty spots surrounding the Croatian islands. Swimming is also an option when you continue the route to your next stop - the well-known Green Cave on island Ravnik. Blue Lagoon on island Budikovac is reserved for snorkeling with all necessary equipment. After this activity the speed boat takes us to Palmizana islet belonging to Devil's islands and the next stop is Hvar island where guests can spend their free time sightseeing and wandering the streets in Hvar town or have lunch at their own expense. Later in the evening it's time to return to Split city and the bay of Matejuška.
