When to Go

  • Côte d'Ivoire is best visited from November to May, when the dry season starts – the roads to more remote places can be impassable when wet.
  • The beaches are best visited outside of the wet seasons. The south has two: May through July and October through November.
  • The best time for hiking in the north is during the drier months, between October to June.
  • Parc National de Taï is at its best outside of the wet season, since the heavy downpours and tropical thunderstorms can make exploring impossible.
