Hola,
what time is rush hour between Ciudad Quesada and La Fortuna?
Last February I took a taxi between Los Termales de Bosque in La Marina, (close to Ciudad Quesada) and La fortuna. Traffic was horrible and slow. I went around 430 pm. I am going back in February and will take another taxi. I am wondering If I leave around 7 pm, if the traffic will be light by then. Last time I went on a Friday so maybe there was more traffic because of the weekend. This time it will be on a Monday.
Thanks…

Nature Air Void

With Nature Air not currently flying, what is happening on their routes, and/or is there an expectation that someone else will backfill some of their routes in the not to distant future? Specifically wondering about flights between SJO & NOB. Best I can tell, no one is serving that route. Might Sansa re-start its service with Nature Air gone? Are routes where both Nature Air & Sansa were serving, now getting completely filled more often and/or further in advance? Specifically interested in…

So I’m house sitting in Ojochal near Uvita Mid June. Debating renting a car vs ground transportation from San Jose airport. The house sit is 8 days and after I will remain 5 more days and travel around before flying out of San Jose. Does anyone know how easy it is to get around Ojochal by mountain bike or Uber? Or is a car necessary? Will I be able to rent two weeks for around $500? Or maybe rent for only part of my stay....

I am planning to spend two weeks in Costa Rica at the end of December. This will be my first time in Costa Rica. I have narrowed down my itinerary ideas between two options. I have friends who live in Domenical, so both include time staying with them. Each destination would be 3-4 nights.

Option 1
Puerto Viejo
Arenal
Monteverde
Domenical

Option 2
Arenal
Monteverde
Domenical
Bahia Drake/Osa peninsula

My plan is to combine hiking and wildlife viewing (guided hikes probably) and relaxing activities…

Waterfalls

Hi. My family loves waterfalls (both jumping off them and hiking to them) and rope swings. I see there are some commercial waterfall trips, but I feel like I may be missing out on a lot of non-commercial sites that could be a blast. I, of course, don't want to wander aimlessly through the jungle, but I am looking for reasonable hikes with trails. I know when we went to Puerto Rico there were private residences where you could pay to park and hike to super cool waterfalls and rope swings…

On the advice of mrmoto, rather than travelling away from Liberia after our cheap charter flight to do a standard kind of intinerary which would be better started from San Jose we had a lovely 12 night trip in Guancaste in late April. We hired a car and travelled to Miravalles area (hot springs), Rincon de la Vieja, Bijagua (including boat trip at Cano Negro), Rio Celeste park, Nuevo Arenal (western end of the lake), Playa Junquillai (small turtle release project) and Playa Hermosa. We saw…

If you look at the internet car hire in Costa Rica seems a bit tricky. This is around collision damage waiver. In short there is compulsory government CDW which is either in your quote or added to it but it is mandatory. Rental agencies will try to make you buy additional CDW cover to the extent of potentially not letting you take the car without it. We asked about this on the forum and the answer for Americans is that their credit cards usually include this extra cover. For non Americans…

I would love to visit in latter part of June early July during the rainy season and going to Monte Verda Rain Forest and Manuel Antonia area. However need to know % of humidity in air since I have a problem with that :ie living in Washington DC had to take salt tablets and was told shouldn't live there.
Would appreciate some feedback
thanks
