Tour description provided by Viator

After driving through the countryside, you will arrive at a destination for a 2-hour cruise along a jungle river, which offers access for exploring Costa Rica's Palo Verde National Park. Look for native wildlife, and enjoy a traditional lunch. Transfer from Tamarindo is included on this 5-hour tour.
One of the most important in Costa Rica, the Tempisque River was once used as a line of transportation for people and goods like cattle and sugar cane. Today, it's considered one of the largest bird sanctuaries in Central America.Your Palo Verde tour from Tamarindo takes you along the river, home to birds such as herons, egrets, ibis, storks, roseate spoonbills and many other species. In addition to the birds, you may also spot monkeys climbing and eating leaves and fruits from the trees along the river, plus watch out for crocodiles and huge iguanas who sit on rocks to warm up under the sun. Your tour ends with a typical Costa Rican meal for lunch.
