Go on a 3-day adventure to the Coffee Region from Bogotá to Medellín. This magnificent and astonishing region is now a UNESCO world heritage site. You will have the opportunity to travel to colorful Salento, and Cocora Valley to admire enormous wax palm trees. During this tour, you will stay in a coffee farm built more than a century ago.Here you will have the privilege to know deeply the coffee process. Finally, you will ride the coffee route from Coffee Region to Medellín
Day 1: You will start early in the morning when our driver picks you up at your hotel in Bogotá to drive you to the airport to start the adventure on a plane to Armenia. You will be waited at Armenia ́s airport by our driver to take you to Cocora Valley. You will tour the amazing Cocora Valley, inside the Nevados National Park. We will have a couple of hours here to choose from many activities to do. The first option is remaining in the car while our driver takes you all through the valley to watch the palm trees, creeks, and the fog forest. The other option is hiring a professional guide (at your own expense) to walk the area while you learn about the local fauna and flora. Also, you can rent a horse (at your own expense) and ride throughout the amazing valley. As soon as you finish your activities, you will be taken to Reserva El Cairo, a coffee farm with more than a 100 years of history and a natural and quiet environment to stay through the night.Day 2: Start the day with a tasty Colombian breakfast. We will pick you up to go to Salento, a charming small town in Quindío. Here you will have the chance to know the town at your own pace, so you have 3 hours to walk the cheerful and colorful streets filled with handicrafts, restaurants, colonial houses, and antiquaries. We will then walk to the Alto de la Cruz where you will surely be surprised by the stunning green valleys of the coffee landscape. When we walk down, you will have time to take lunch at a local restaurant (at your own expense) and continue with a tourat El Ocaso coffee farm. Here you will learn all about the coffee process: from planting to the cup. Finally, you will return to Salento to lodge at Posada del Café.Day 3: After a delicious breakfast, our driver will pick you up to drive you to Pereira ́s bus terminal to take the beautiful Coffee Route to Medellín. As soon as you arrive, our driver will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel in the city of eternal spring.
