It is considered the lungs of the planet as the Amazon produces 20% of the oxygen on Earth.On the Amazon Nature Tour you will visit a natural reserve in Colombia and one in Peru and will learn about the Amazonian wildlife."We are dedicated to creating the most unique travel experiences in the Colombia Amazon while supporting the indigenous communities of the area.”We mainly use the services provided by the indigenous communities of the area, which does not only provide the traveller with a direct cultural experience but also generates income for the original inhabitants. To increase our positive impact, we also donate school material to the indigenous community of Ticuna de San Martin de Amacayaca.
ItineraryDay 1: Tanimboca Nature ReserveStop At: Reserva Natural Tanimboca, Leticia, Amazonas DepartmentAfter we welcome you at the airport we start our journey towards the Tanimboca Nature Reserve which lies 11km from Leticia. We will have lunch and then walk 15 Minutes until we reach the 15 meter high Tree House. From here you can traverse various 40 meter high platforms in the trees by means of zip lines. In the late afternoon we on a ecological walk exploring the Amazonian jungle, before having dinner at the Nature Reserve.Duration: 1 dayMeals included: • Dinner • LunchAccommodation included: Either in rooms with double beds (couples) or a room with multiple beds (groups).Day 2: Marasha Nature ReserveStop At: Marasha Natural Reserve, Puerto Alegria, Loreto RegionBreakfast at the Tanimboca Reserve, followed by a taxi and boat ride to the Marash Nature Reserve in Peru. We will have to walk for approximately 1h until we reach the Reserve´s facilities. During the walk, you will experience the jungle, learn about timber and medicinal trees. Furthermore, there is the the opportunity to observe different species of birds that inhabit the area. After lunch at the Nature Reserve there is the opportunity to go Piranha fishing, bird watching, canoeing or kayaking. After we enjoyed a typical dish at Las Magaritas restaurant there is the opportunity to explore the village, visit and swim in the Tarapoto Lake about 20 minutes from the village, go Piranha fishing or loom out for pink and grey dolphins.
